Who's braved it and got through Dry January?
Personally, mine has been a rather wet one. But with the amount of birthday's I have to contend with (including my own), it is never an option. But so many people were doing it this year. It's getting so popular. Is it just the most do-able option for attempting to lose the Christmas seasons' winter layer or are we becoming more health conscious?
My latest beauty finds and long-time favourites still making the cut. Tried, tested, loved & made to look pretty in my bathroom.
You may have gathered from my various other posts or from my ramblings on my show... I love a bargain. I also love my skin. I've cleansed, toned and moisturised since I was 12 and since the serum takeover (10 years ago-ish) I haven't gone without one of those little beauts either. I lather my body in lotion at least once a day and make my own body scrubs.
Don't be conned by websites offering too good to be true offers.
All these websites, living social, gogroopie and wowcher are well and good but they are not always as good as they sound. I takes 2 seconds to put the product in to google/Amazon and see how much it really is in the open market. Not forgetting the cheeky little postage costs that can sting you.
My featured artist of the week: Brian Royer. THE Breakfast Presenter aka @Royerism @FM1FMRadio.
Some of you may already know Brian Royer and his ever popular show weekdays 7-10am. But I decided to find out more, who's the guy behind the mike? I was lucky enough to have a chat with him over tea and biscuits (Tea Pigs and Oreo Crunch) in a Top Secret location ( I could tell you but then where's the mystery?).
My animals: Fighting like misguided Conspiratorial Cat & Dog
I have decided that my animals have at some point communicated in only a way that they know how, to drive me bat shit crazy. I have had my fair share of animals but these little fur balls are really taking the biscuit.
Time to get happy - What makes you tickle?
I'm not saying you're not happy, maybe I'm just sharing a couple of the things that make me tick or for some, this serves as a reminder to turn that frown upside down.
Recent research has shown that our emotional state has a huge effect on how we look and how healthy our skin is. Cortisol is a bitch and affects anything from bloating to pimples. Laughter can give us an ab workout (this is not strictly true but doesn't do us any harm). Happy people attract happy people. Negativity rarely breeds success.
